Upset over the murder of her coach during the New Year celebrations a woman hockey player on Tuesday committed suicide in the port city of Vishakapatnam.
Two days after her coach, G. Bhaskar Rao was murdered by his junior, Meena the hockey player ended her life by immolating herself at her residence. One of the police officer claims that she was really upset about the murder of her coach and unable to bear this loss, has committed suicide.
Ninteen year ols, Meena was a promising state-level hockey player and was a degree student at AVN College in Vishakapatnam. Bhaskar Rao was a senior player and also coaching Meena. The couple was reportedly having an affair.
Bhaskar Rao aged 21 years, was stabbed to death on Sunday morning by his junior with a knife meant to cut a cake to mark the New Year.
The two had some silly issues during the New Year celebrations at Port Grounds. In a fit of rage, Ratna Kumar stabbed Bhaskar Rao at his chest.
The bleeding Rao was soon taken to hospital, but couldn't save his life. Following which the police has arrested Ratna Kumar.
