Up election celebrations: Boy killed in firing

A young boy was killed today during celebratory firing alleged by Samajwadi party supporters after the party candidate's victory in Sambhal area while workers from the same area clashed with some TV cameramen in Jhansi during which their equipment was broken.
Police identified the 12-year-old boy as Danish who died after being hit by a bullet during celebratory firing supported by SP candidates from Sambhal assembly seat Iqbal Mahmood this evening.
SP D.K. Garg said that necessary action has been initiated against this.
Reporters who reached Jhansi said that the supporters of SP had a clash with some TV cameramen during which some of their equipments were broken.
Sources said that a complaint with this regard has been registered with the district administration.
Official sources said following objections from SP candidate Chandrapal Sigh Yadav, counting was stopped today evening.
Sources added that further directives have been sought from the Election Commission.
District Magistrate Anil Garg when contacted said the counting has been stopped  after some people raised objections over some matter.
