The Lokayukta court on Monday ordered non-bailable warrants against former Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa, his family and a former minister in two illegal land denotification cases.
Lokayukta special court Judge N.K. Sudhindra Rao ordered that the warrants be issued against Yeddyurappa, his two sons B.Y. Raghavendra, B.Y. Vijayendra, son-in-law Sohan Kumar and former housing minister Krishnaiah Setty and directed them to appear without fail on March 24th.
The court issued warrants after they failed to appear before the court for the last three trials that was scheduled to begin last month.
It may be recalled that Yeddyurappa was summoned and subsequently surrendered last october in these two cases. The cases were filed by Advocate Sirajin Basha.
The other accused in the case were, however, present.
