Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy on Saturday while seeking to make Home Minister P Chidambaram as a party to the 2G Spectrum case submitted the certified copies of documents and submitted his arguments.
Special Judge O.P Saini, after hearing Swamy's plea for prosecution of Chidambaram in the 2G case, listed the matter for January 21 for final arguments.
Swamy said that this evidence reveals the participation, collusion and consent of the then Finance Minister P Chidambaram in the decision taken by the then Telecom Minister A Raja on the matter of fixing prices of spectrum licences and the matter of permitting companies who received licences.
Swamy sought a make Chidambaram a party in the case, saying the spectrum pricing decision was taken in the year 2008 jointly by him and Raja, who had een lodged in the Tihar Jail here since February 2. He alleged that both Chidambaram and Raja were equally guilty of recommending spectrum prices based on 2001 rates.
