Man injures for Rs.50 and ends up in paying Rs.15000


A man has been imposed a fine of Rs.15,000 by  a Delhi Court for injuring hs neighbour when he refused to pay back Rs.50 he owed.
The Additional Sessions Judge Pawan Kumar Jain said in his order to pay a fine of Rs.15,000  so as to meet the ends of justice, considering the facts and circumstances of the case.
The court observed to pay Rs.10000 to be paid to Sri Bhagwan who was injured in the fracas.
According to the prsecution, the incident took place in in August 2006 when Sanjeev accosted Bhagwan in the colony and demanded Rs.50 from him, claiming that he had taken earlier from him.
Sanjeev lot his temper, when Bhagwan denied that he owed any money to him. He later picked up a fight with Bhagwan and smashed a brick on his head. The accused fled the spot leaving behind Bhagwan who was bleeding, who was later rushed to the hospital.
The court convicted Sanjeev on  charges of making a bid to commit unintentional killing, but let him off after merely imposing the fine.
