Kerala government to meet all expenses of the Padmanabhaswamy temple


Kerala Government would provide the adequate necessary security to the famous temple, Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple where enormous wealth was found hidden in secret cellars, state Finance Minister K M Mani said.
The government has kept apart Rupees one crore for specially meeting the needs of the temple with respect to tightening the security of the temple. He said in the assembly replying to the discussions on budget that whatever more is required will be sanctioned soon.
This temple was caught into the limelight with the unearthing of a stunning range of articles, gold ornaments and gold platters and lamps caught from the hidden cellars of the temple during an inventory by a Supreme Court appointed committee.
Mani added that besides the fund kept apart for integrated road development and waste management at the hill shrine of Sabarimala, a health package would also be applied for the pilgrims to the Lord Ayyappa temple.
Also an amount of Rs.12 crore had been kept apart for the maintenance and development of the famous Attukal temple, known as Women's Sabarimala and its surrounding areas.
