Parvati Murali, one of the three women who threw footwear at a Supreme Court bench of Justices Arjit Pasayat and A.K Ganguly in the year 2009, was arrested at Delhi airport immediately after she landed from Frunkfurt on Monday.
Murli, against whom a non-bailable warrant was issued by the Supreme Court in the year 2009, was handed over to the Crime Branch of Mumbai police.
On March 20, 2009, Murli and three others had tossed footwear at Justice Arjit Pasayat in the courtroom during the hearing of a matter relating to the Boss School of Music. The trio was sentenced to three month's jail. But Murli fled the country. On Monday, she was sent to Tihar Jail.
