BJP MLA from Bhopal Dhruv Narayan Singh on Wednesday appeared before the CBI for polygraph test in connection with the murder of RTI activist Shehla Masood, even as the two prime accused, architect Zahida Parvez and her friend Saba Farroqui refused to give their polygraph test.
Sources revealed that Mr. Singh arrived at the Central Forensic Science Laboratory with the CBI for his polygraph test at around 11 a.m.
They said the questioning is however likely to drift around his purported relationship with the victim Shehla Masood and accused Parvez, and if he was aware of the murder plan alleged formulated by the latter.
The sources said a detailed questionnaire covering these broad topics has been prepared by the experts.
They said that during the probe, the CBI has found that Parvez had very close relations with the MLA, to the extend of obsession, and resented his closeness with Masood.
The sources added that from her diary, the sleuths had come to know of several instances where Parvez had noted her sentiments for Singh and growing resentment for Masood.
While going through the call details of Masood and her friend Farroqui, sleuths came across various calls made purportedly to Singh soon after Masood was murdered on August 16th outside her house in Koh-e-Fiza locality in Bhopal.
Mr. Singh had given his consent toundergo polygraph test last week before a special CBI court in Indore.
Meanwhile, Farooqui and Parvez even after giving consent before the court had backtracked and refused to undergo polygraph test.
