Police said that a girl on Sunday was stabbed by a youth after she refused his marriage proposal in Hapur City, near Ghaziabad.
They said that the alleged incident is believed to have took place atPanchsheel Nagar area. The victim was soon rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
According to the police, the same youth was arrested last year on the accusation of throwing acid on the same girl.
Police said that he was released on parole about 10 days ago. Search is on for the man who fled after committing the crime.
