A 23-year-old girl working in a pub at a mall in Gurgaon was allegedly gang-raped by six youth in a flat in Gurgaon.
After the assault, the girl was dropped by one of the youth near Chattarpur Metro Station in Delhi where she approached the Delhi Police who in turn contacted their Gurgaon counterparts.
Gurgaon Deputy Commissioner of Police, Maheshwere Dayal said that on the complaint of the girl, the Gurgaon Police have lodged an FIR against six unknown youth and have initiated the investigation.
According to the girl's complaint, she was going to her home in a taxi after completing her duty in the pub in Sahara Mall on Sunday night when occupants of a car forced the taxi driver to stop the vehicle.
The girl alleged that as the taxi stopped, the car-borne youth kidnapped her and took her to a flat, where they raped her.
Police said they are getting the girl medically examined and following all leads.
A police officer said that they have crucial leads in the case. And said they are putting their best efforts to solve the case. He added that they are getting the CCTV footage from the pub so that they get more clues from there.
He said the taxi driver is not the suspect.
In January this year, some youths had tried to abduct and molest a girl outside the same mall.
