Modi's one-day fast begins in Dwaraka

Gujarat's ruling party and the Opposition are back to the politics of fasting.  Chief Minister Narendra Modi is set to begin the second phase of his Sadbhavana Mission, with a 24-hour long fast in Dwaraka on Sunday. Modi is keeping the promise that he made during his three-day fast in Ahmedabad last month.
BJP Spokesperson Vijay Rupani said that Narendra Modi has a vision of inclusive growth and this fast is an extension of what he has said earlier. This will herald a new era of peace and prosperity.
The opposition Congress is getting into fast mode. And countering the Chief Minister's fast this time is Congress MP Vikram Madam. He too will be fasting in Dwaraka, with the aim to expose Narendra Modi.
Madam said that Modi is misusing the government machinery for his own political gains. They are to organize a bigger gathering than Modi's.
Modi's advisors seem to have apprised that his Sadbhavana mission will not be a success at the risk of alienating the Hindu votebank.
