CBI may take over probe into death of Swami Nigamananda

Th CBI is likely to start probe into the mysterious death of Swami Nagananda who died at Dehradun in June after nearly four months of fast protesting illegal mining on Ganga river.
CBI sources revealed that they are expecting a notification to be issued within two-three days by the Centre handing over the probe into the death of Swami Nagananda to the agency.
 The State government has already sent its request to the Central government seeking for the help of the CBI in this case, to probe in to this case.  They allege that there has been a foul play in the death of the Swami who was demanding shifting of stone crushers from Kumbh area.
Local Religious leaders and the family of Nigamananda, who died in a hospital on June 13 at Dehradun, alleged that he was poisoned and suspected the role of local mining mafia in his death.
