Brit teacher arrested for talking dirty

Police said that a British national who heads an international school in Bangalore has been arrested on charges of inappropriate conversations with a seventh standard student.

Head Master of the British International School, Trio World School, Paul Francis Meekins was produced on Saturday before a Judicial Magistrate, who released him on bail.

A senior police official told the reporters that he has been charged under the Juvenile and Information Technology Acts.

Parents of the said boy, whose identity is not been disclosed, complained that the accused called the boy to his chamber and talked about sex and also chatted with him on the same subject on a social networking site.

The private school following the British curriculum has thereby removed the 37 year old Meekins till completion of the inquiry. Police sources said that his passport has been confiscated.

The school mangement said they are deeply shocked and disappointed by an unfortunate issue, wherein a parent approached the school management, with an allegation that Meekin was allegedly having inappropriate conversations on chat with the pupil.

It said in a statement that immediately the management conducted an emergency meeting and decided to suspended him from his current responsibilities forthwith pending investigation not withstanding his past success. Thereafter, a police investigation was initiated and the management wouthorities has extended their full co-operation to the police authorities.
