Baby Falak stable for now, but still critical : Doctors

The two-year-old baby named Falak who was admitted into the AIIMS trauma centre days before is in stable condition now and has been taken off the ventilator but the doctor's claim that she is still in critical condition.

A senior doctor from the team of doctors monitoring her condition was quoted as saying that the baby's condition is still critical, but her vital parameters have been stable without the ventilator. And that they are constantly monitoring her.

The baby who was left at the hospital by a teenager on January 18 with multiple injuries, including a fractured skull, human bite marks on her tiny face and a clot on the right side of her brain. The baby has been battling with severe chest, brain and blood infections.

The teenager, who initially claimed to be Falak's mother  is now in a Juvenile home. She got hold of the baby from Rajkumar Gupta, who is alleged to be the key accused in the case who is on the run.

Though the serach for Gupta is going on who had handed over the baby to his teenage girlfriend, four people have been arrested in the case.

The treating doctor has said that it is too early for them to decide whether her life is out of danger or not as she has suffered brain damage.
