Will simplify ‘complex’ policies: DVS

On CM DV Sadananda Gowda informed media at Dharmasthala that, inorder to ensure that the State Government machinery works like a well-oiled machine, a meeting of ministers and officials from 25 government departments had been convened in Bangalore on August 16th and 17th. Arriving at Dharmasthala, he said he was aware that some of the policies were anti-people. He assured, I have set up a team of three senior officials in each department who will identify such anti-people policies and submit a report to me and Chief Secretary within a fortnight. Based on the report some of the complex policies will be simplified in consultation with legal experts. He also made remark that, the rules, after all, should help the people and not push them to further miseries. It is on 15th of August, the third phase of Cabinet expansion is likely to take place in the presence of BJP leader Dharmendra Pradhan.
Sadananda Gowda revealed that, seven more BJP members are likely to be inducted into his ministry after consultation with former CM Yeddyurappa and Jagadish Shettar. It was added by him that maintaining equilibrium in his ministry and ensuring pro-people governance were his priorities.Responding to a question, he said Tulu language is among 36 languages waiting to be included in the eighth schedule of the Constitution. It is the report of the RBI that, Tulu language, if included in the eighth schedule, will have to be printed on currencies, which was a main stumbling block. He informed; I have already submitted a memorandum to Union Minister Chidambaram to consider their proposal on including both Kodava and Tulu languages in the currencies.
