Manmohan knew even of the minutest details of the 2G scam: BJP

The BJP on Monday stepped up attack on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on he 2G issue alleging that he was aware of even the minutest of details in the matter and will have to answer opposition charges in Parliament.

The BJP has announced that it has issued notices for discussion on issues of price rise, Mumbai blasts and corruption in both houses of Parliament under a rule that entails voting.

BJP leaderJaitley told the reporters that the Prime Minister was involved in the micromanagement of telecom policies.

Leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, Sushma Swaraj said that tomorrow they were to discuss on the issue of price rise and notices were issued against the opposition leaders for discussion.

Irked by Singh's remarks, Swaraj said that it was "unprovoked and ill-advised" and accused the Pm for vitiating the political atmosphere ahead of the monsoon session.

Jaitley said that he is faced with several questions because of the recent disclosures on the 2G spectrum. And added that the PM instead of replying the questions, he was always attacking the opposition.

Contending that Singh had even the minutest details of the 2G scam, he said the Prime Minister cannot keep an "arms length distance" from his own government.
