CBI grills Baba Ramdev aide on fake passport issue

On Wednesday, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) quizzed yoga guru Baba Ramdev's key aid Acharya Balkrishna on charges of obtaining an Indian passport on the basis of false documents.
As per the information provided by a CBI official, Balkrishna was questioned for five hours over allegedly procuring an Indian passport with fake educational degrees, when he came to the CBI's office at Dehradun.
For further questioning in the case, Balkrishna was called by the agency on Thursday. An Anticipatory Bail was granted to Balkrishna till August 29 after he moved the Uttarakhand High Court on July 29 that directed him to appear on August 3rd before the CBI.
On 25th of July, Balkrishna was summoned by CBI to appear before it on July 28th. 20 days was asked by Balkrishna and the same was refused by the agency.
Then again he was asked by the agency to appear on 29th of July. A ten days time was sought by Balkrishna but a deadline of August 4th was given by the agency.
On 25th of July, a lockout notice was issued for him by the probe agency. Also airports to prevent Balkrishna from leaving the country were alerted by the agency.  The Government asked the security agencies to probe allegations that Balkrishna held a fake passport, after the crackdown at Baba Ramdev's venue in June, in New Delhi.
For two days after the crack down on Baba Ramdev in New Delhi, Balkrishna went missing.       
The business empire of Baba Ramdev comprises of 34 companies that are largely controlled by Balkrishna.
