Social activist Anna Hazare said that the charges levelled against him are all baseless and false. Rubbishing the Congress charges that he too is involved in corruption. Responding to the Congress allegations, he said that the charges levelled against him are false. And he dared them to conduct an enquiry against him and declared that till the time his name is cleared from the list, he will carry on with his fast. Speaking at a press conference in New Delhi, Anna said that Congress has targeted his team members and now they are targeting him. When he demanded for an enquiry, the government was not ready for it and in protest of this he went for a fast. Activist Anna Hazare said whie lashing out at the Congress charges that the Sawant Commission Report does not say that he is a corrupt. For more clarifications he was ready to reveal the details of their funding via online.
Hazare also appealed to his people not to quit the fight against corruption. He also asked the Congress to declare the details of fund in the past 5 years. But a Congress Spokesperson said the details of funds is with the public domain.
Meanwhile, Congress Spokesperson Manish Tewari said on earlier Sunday said Anna Hazare is no one to talk of corruption. He himself is involved in it as per the court. The Sawant Commission has come out with the figures of trusts run by him.
Anna Hazare will go ahead with his fast on August 16.
