Deccan charges beat Kings XI Punjab by 82 runs

In IPL forth edition, match between Deccan Charges and Kings IX Punjab, held at Himajal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharmasala, Punjab made a big mistake by sending DC for batting after getting the toss. On first bating DC scored 198 runs in the base of not out performance of Shikjar Dhawan who scored 95 runs from just 57 balls with 14 boundaries and 1 six. Dwaraja Ravi Teja scored 60 runs from 41 balls hitting 5 fours and 2 sixers. The Deccan Chargers scored 198 runs from 20 overs loosing only 2 wickets. Their amazing run rate of 9.9 was horrible one for Punjab. 

In the second bating, Paul Valthty the new Indian bating hero emerged from IPL season 4, defeated in the tremendous bowling of Dale Steyn. Paul Valthaty was caught by Anand Rajan with 5 runs in his scoreboard from 6 balls. Adam Gilchrist, the captain of Punjab played a beautiful innings and scored 51 runs from 37 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes. Shaun Marsh, who is wearing the orange cap for top scorer in the tournament was dismissed by JP Duminy by a catch of Anand Rajan. Shaun Marsh was only able to add 13 runs to his score card. Other batsmen of Punjab lost wickets regularly and they can only score 116 runs from 19 overs. Piyush Chawla remain not out in the side of Punjab with 13 runs.  Deccan Charges beat the Kings IX Punjab for 82 runs.
