The chief minister has however sent his resignation to the BJP national president Nitin Gadkari instead of the Governor. As per the sources, he is all set to resign on July 31st.

There are rumors that he is planning to resign on July 31st, owing to an advice by an astrologer who advised him to resign on July 31st, whereby which will bring him bright chances to come back into power some time later.

BJP spokesperson Ravishankar Prasad said that the party has decided that it was time to bring a change in the Karnataka ministry. He also said that Arun Jaitely and Rajnath Singh will go o Bangalore on Friday to choose an alternative leader.

The BJP top leaders namely Advani, Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley, Rajnath Singh and Naidu who met in New Delhi rushed its party's general secretary Dharmendra Pradhan to convince Yeddyurappa to step down gracefully.

His intervention however succeeded, and the chief minister is expected to put forth his demands before the party observers Jaitley and Singh when they will arrive on Friday.
